A Tour of Underwear: From Fabric to Final Garment
Welcome to Our Factory Tour!
Hao Yu Clothing’s new factory was officially launched in 2021, consisting of two main buildings. One is a 7-story structure housing the staff canteen and dormitories; the other spans 8 floors, with Floors 1-7 dedicated to production-related areas and the 8th floor serving as the administrative, sales, and R&D center. Our tour today will focus primarily on this 8-story building—let’s get started!
Here, you’ll witness the entire process of turning fabric into finished underwear products. On Hao Yu Clothing’s well-organized production lines, skilled textile workers collaborate with advanced machinery to create high-quality goods that meet strict standards.
Step 1: Fabric Sourcing & Storage
First, we source fabrics tailored to our clients’ specific needs (e.g., material type, color, and texture). These fabrics are stored in our dedicated fabric warehouse on the 1st floor, where we maintain optimal conditions to preserve their quality. Once production is scheduled, the fabrics are transported to the relevant floors for processing.
Step 2: Automated Cutting (2nd Floor)
On the 2nd floor, our automated cutting workshop takes center stage. Machine operators input precise cutting parameters—including shape, length, and width—into the computer system. Our imported cutting machines then cut multiple layers of fabric in one go, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high efficiency—a key factor in meeting large-order demands.
Step 3: Webbing Production (3rd Floor)
The 3rd floor is home to our webbing workshop. Here, operators set up custom parameters, and amid the steady hum of machinery, individual yarns are woven into durable, elastic webbings. These webbings are a critical component of underwear: they provide just the right amount of elasticity to keep the garment securely in place around the wearer’s waist without causing tightness or discomfort.
Step 4: Seamless Knitting & Bonding (4th Floor)
The 4th floor features our seamless knitting and pressing workshop, equipped with renowned Italian-brand SANTONI seamless knitting machines—a industry leader in creating smooth, form-fitting underwear. These machines ensure the final product is completely seamless, so the wearer feels no friction from stitches—even during intense physical activity.
This is also where the webbings (from the 3rd floor) come into play: using seamless pressing technology, the webbings are bonded directly to the fabric, creating a unified, comfortable structure. This is what makes our underwear surprisingly soft and wearable!
Step 5: Final Finishing (5th Floor)
On the 5th floor, skilled seamstresses add the final touches to perfect each product. This includes details like logo printing, attaching decorative elements (e.g., lace trim), or reinforcing stress points—all to enhance the product’s aesthetics and durability.
Step 6: Quality Inspection & Packaging
Last but not least, the finished underwear is sent to our quality inspection (QI) team. Every batch undergoes manual sampling inspection to check for defects (e.g., loose threads, uneven bonding, or size inconsistencies). Only products that pass our strict QI standards are packaged and prepared for shipping. Now, your order is fully ready to be dispatched to your market!
